OPEN TO ALL STUDENT Councils in NEbraska

 

\\WHAT DOES IT COST?//

The cost is $45 per student if your school plans on attending.  All fees associated are to cover the costs of the event. Also, we ask that any school that is coming to the Sunday activities, to have each student pitch in $5 for our Make-A-Wish walk fundraiser.

 

\\WHAT IS INLCUDED IN THE COST?//

Registration fees will go towards this year's speaker- Scott Backovich, t-shirts for every student and advisor, 2 meals: Breakfast & Lunch on Monday, custom lanyards for each student and advisor, and tons of extras throughout the day! 

 

\\WHERE IS STATE 2015 LOCATED?//

STATE 2015 is taking place at Plattsmouth High School in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Approximately 25 minutes from downtown Omaha. Learn more about PHS by clicking here. 

 

\\WHO IS THIS YEAR'S SPEAKER?//

\\WHO CAN ATTEND?//

STATE 2015 is open to any student council in the state of Nebraska. Please note that this conference is NOT limited to High School Student Councils. We encourage student leaders from middle schools and elementary schools to attend the conference.

**Please be sure to pay the Nebraska Association of Student Councils (www.nasc.org) the $50 dues to be a member school.**

 

\\HOW DO YOU PAY?//

Once registration has been confirmed, an invoice will be emailed to your advisors email address provided. We understand that monetary requests must go through many channels in order to be fulfilled, that being said, we appreciate your school's promptness in paying registration fees. 

\\CAN I PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD?//

Yes, 2 choices:

1. go to this website: https://eps.mvpbanking.com/cgi-bin/efs/register.pl?district=55093 register by creating a login/password and then find "State Student Council" on the second page, select it and make your payment.

2. call our Admin office: 402-296-3361 and request to make a payment for "State Student Council"

 

\\HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?//

STATE 2015 is taking a step back in time and bringing Sunday back! So it will be a two day event that begins at 6:30 PM on Sunday and 7:00 AM on Monday October 26th, ending at approximately 4:00 PM the same day. 

 

\\DO WE HAVE TO COME ON SUNDAY?//

NO, but we would love to have you. Sunday is meant to be more of a "Fun" Day with games, a dance, a walk for wishes, etc.

 

\\WILL FOOD BE PROVIDED ON SUNDAY?//

NO, we were hoping to be able to feed people, but it just isn't working out. So please be sure to eat before you come!!

 

\\IS THERE A BLOCK OF ROOMS AVAILABLE IF I NEED TO STAY OVERNIGHT?//

Yes, 2 Choices:

1. Value Place Inn in Bellevue at 402-991-5050. Request our block: "State Student Council" to get the $65 rate by October 4th, after that date rates are subject to change.

2. Microtel Inn and Suites in Bellevue at 402-292-0191. Request our block: "State Student Council" to get the $65 rate by October 4th, after that date rates are subject to change.

 

\\WHAT WENT DOWN LAST YEAR?//

With over 500 student leaders from 25+ schools across Nebraska - "STATE 2014" was an extremely successful event. 45 different breakout sessions and one outstanding, professional speaker made STATE 2014 one of the best leadership conferences in Nebraska. 42 dedicated advisors and numerous students from those 25+ schools provided feedback that allows STATE 2015 to look even more promising than last year. STATE 2015 has braved countless revisions and planning sessions to make it the best possible event for student leaders to grow, lead, and impact their communities and schools.
